Stav Shaffir is a social entrepreneur and former MP of Israel. She was the youngest woman ever elected as a member of parliament in Israel, where she served for seven years. She was a member of the Finance Committee, where she led a reform for budgetary transparency, exposed the government’s secret money transfers, and fought to end corrupt usage of tax-payer money.
Ms. Shaffir founded the Transparency Committee of parliament, where she served as chairperson, in addition, she also served as the chair of the OECD parliamentary committee for transparency and anti-corruption. Ms. Shaffir is the founder of Shira Center, which provides a unique program for young adults with autism and special needs. She has been named as one of the World’s most Influential Young People in Government for 2018 by Apolitical and was selected as the Young Global Leader in 2017, by the World Economic Forum.
